I have deliberately used words in a way that confuses rather than clarifies.

There is a lot of this going around in academia these days. Many so-called "scholarly" papers, especially in the humanities, are so poorly written, so filled with arcane baffle-gab nonsense, as to be difficult for anyone to understand.
