I pray every day that God will smite him. They did in biblical times. Why not now?

God is patient. Far more than us. Obama will have no excuse.

One day we all will face judgement.

Children of God, his elect, whom he chose before the foundations of the world, will go to their reward, eternity with God.

Everyone else - those who hate Christ - will go to their reward; they will wind up in a lake of fire.

Jesus Christ taught us to pray, including:

Matthew 6:10 "Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven."

After my conversion a few years ago, and given some progressive sanctification since then - praise God - I've been amazed at how God hears prayers. For me this has been more noticeable since I've found my faith increasing to the point where I truly had faith that my prayer would be heard. Of course we must remember that the faithful children of God pray in humility and that of course includes complete acceptance of God's will.

We need to pray for a Christian revival first and foremost, and for America to covenant with God. Bad leaders are a temporal judgement (chastisement) of a Christian nation that turns away from God and refuses to submit to his Son as their King.

Since Americans have been deluded by new world order wickedness and turn to it as our god, we get what we asked for, wicked new world order leaders.

David did not pray for God to smite Saul, as bad as Saul was.

I think the right course of action is described in Jude 1:9.

Well, to be fair, given the Nation's embrace of vile perversions - we deserve a lot worse. Unfortunately God has given us leaders compatible with the nature of the people. The alternative, though, would probably have been the Sodom and Gomorrah treatment - so again we are thankful to our long-suffering God for His patience. And pray the Nation turns.

People often complain that this is ripped out of context, but it applies:

2 Chronicles 7
13 If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;
14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

There is no rain as people turn their backs on God's Word. We have locusts running the Government, Schools, and Media. And the pestilence of sin breaks out among the people.
It is past time to humble ourselves and pray and to seek the Lord through Jesus Christ His Son.

He will be smited by his own hand. God will make him do that, and by promoting the worst of the worst who will rise above his rank, it will happen in due time, Ben Gahzi style.
