Har! Ted is honest and may actually have those thoughts privately along with us, but that is actually a misquote in the Daily Caller article. The actual quote is below with a video link queued to the pertinent time in his speech.
"Instead of a President who boycotts Prime Minister Netanyahu, imagine America standing unapologetically with the nation of Israel. Imagine a commander in chief standing up with clarity, and saying We will defeat radical Islamic terrorism.
Actually, I’m glad about that. I think it would be unwise for Cruz to call Obama a terrorist, even if he privately thinks he is pretty much that (just as we do).
I stand with Ted
God works in mysterious ways.
So do you think that was a freudian slip or a provocation from the Daily Caller? Should we expect a retraction/correction?
Agreed. It was almost at the level of Charlton Heston’s in Denver after Columbine.
I’ve been quite undecided and open minded about those running next year. But I must admit, I LIKE Ted Cruz. He’s doing quite well. He’s showing his opponents and critics that he just plain doesn’t give two sh*ts what they say.
That takes guts and a spine -something severely lacking these days.
I was done with Rand Paul after he started associating with NAGR and Dudley Brown.
It was likely an unintentional misquote/typo. I sent an email to the author, Kerry Picket, to let her know. I expect they will correct the error.
If they send you the correction will you please post it? Thank you, Sir.
Har! as you say :)
Mike Lee is destined to be Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.
That actually doesn’t make sense speech wise - I doubt he actually called Obama a terrorist. Now I want to see the exact transcript. Was the mistake made in transcribing the speech, or did Cruz mess up?
(Not that it isn’t true in some ways, but it isn’t a good way to say it. The rest of his comments already made their excellent point.)
Please let me know too. I hope the mistake was made in post speech transcription or reporter erred.
It is a time for truth. you cannot win a war on radical Islamic terrorism with a president who is unwilling to utter the words radical Islamic terrorists”>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Mr. Cruz is building up tremendous gravitas, saying what has needed to be publicly said for a very long time, forcing the MSM to print it.
Go Cruz , GO!
Agree.
The liberals are circling the wagons now that U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, of Texas, has made it official that he is seeking the Republican nomination for president.
And, to draw attention away from their dismal record, they resort to their typical means of character assassination. Why? To take the focus off their lack of achievements.
Here are some examples: quadrupling the national debt when they promised to bring it down; one word — Benghazi; trading several known terrorists out of jail for Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl (plus six Americans died looking for him after he voluntarily walked away from his post); dealing with an enemy with a history of not living up to its word about nuclear weapons but that enthusiastically supports vocal interests of its citizens to the chant of “Death to America” and has never disavowed its intention to wipe Israel off the face of the Earth; the Internal Revenue Service targeting independent businesses it doesn’t like; not wanting to upset a people who are beheading Christians; and the hypocrisy of Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., who says Republicans are racists because they are holding up the confirmation of the president’s nominee for attorney general, when this same man did not vote to confirm Condoleezza Rice or Colin Powell.
Of course they circle the wagons. They are much like the chocolate Easter bunny — bite into it and it’s hollow on the inside. Penetrate the wagon circle, and there is nothing there.
My sister in law is in Nashville for the NRA. Can’t wait to hear what she thinks about Cruz.
Thanks!
Nice avatar. What kind of dog is that? (wolf, coyote, jackal, &c.)
