Yes they did in 1993 as I recall. The purpose of those hearing was to discredit anyone with evidence that there might be POW/MIAs still alive in Vietnam. I watched part of them and kept track. Formed a very low opinion of Juan and it has gotten substantially lower since on numerous occasions.
To: spokeshaveVery accurate. Here are a few more details.I seem to remember that McCain teamed up with John fn Kerry to ignore the MIA troops so a commercial opening to Vietnam could be accomplished.Yes they did in 1993 as I recall. The reason the did that you are right spokeshave, it was "so a commercial opening to Vietnam could be accomplished."
So these two threw our MIA's and POW's under the bus for money.
I'm sure McCain got his cut for this betrayal of our precious Military who were captured and/or killed in Viet Nam.
(There was a rule that no business could be done between the USA and Viet Nam until all the POW's were released and all remains of KIA MIA's were shipped back to the USA for proper burial.)
Kerry's reason was even closer to home.
As soon as approval was granted, Kerry's brother went to Viet Nam and since then has made billions for him and his fellow travelers.
Kerry and McCain are low down despicable scum that should be in jail for their actions.
They lied and disrespected our Finest for money.
