Chelsea Clinton has given an interview about life in the public eye, being a new mother and her hope that the US one day elects a female president.
While she stops short of naming a potential runner there can be little doubt given the timing of her comments about who she means.
It is no secret that her mother, Hillary, is due to announce her run for the White House on Sunday.
Ms Clinton told Elle magazine: One of our core values in this country is that we are the land of equal opportunity, but when equal hasn't yet included gender, there is a fundamental challenge there that, I believe, having our first woman presidentwhenever that iswill help resolve.
Ms Clinton, 35, became a mother last year, giving birth to Charlotte, and also describes her experiences of motherhood.
I now understandthis is something else that Marc and I talk about all the timeall of the enthusiastic, bombastically spectacular, wonderful things people say about their children, because we also feel and think all those things about Charlotte, said Clinton.
Inevitably, though, after growing up in the White House and having two of the country's most successful political operators for parents, much of the interview is taken up with politics.
And in particular the importance of seeing a woman lead the country.
Do I think it would make a substantive difference? she added. Yes, we've seen again and again, when women have been in positions of leadership, they have had different degrees of success versus their male counterparts, historically being able to build more consensus so that decisions have longer-term effects, whether in economic investments or in building social capital.
Who sits around the table matters. And who sits at the head of the table matters, too."

When are we due for a hermaphrodite?
Well for the last eight years we’ve had leadership determined by skin color.
Proof that it takes more than money and lipstick to make a pig look pretty.
Toilet paper is the perfect theme.
thank you....!!
Hillarys going to rue the day!
Shut up and eat your carrot.......
We already have a female “President”. It’s not working out.
To the “Hubbell” bone.
Web and Hillary must be so proud of their daughter.
They’re just going to repeat the mantra: ‘It’s time for a female president’, ‘We need a woman for president’, over and over again through November ‘16.
No substance to her campaign, no questions of consequence by reporters, no criminal allegations.
The LIV will respond like Pavlov’s dog.
Hey- Privileged white child-—Are you brave enough to get a DNA test & find out once & for all exactly who your biological father is??????
If Obama has set back the status of race relations three generations, the Arkansas hillbillies seem to be determined to do the same for the real deserved status of women.
As an aside, seriously, who gives a FF what Chelsea what’shername opines?
Daughter of Webb Hubbel by any chance??????
I’m going for international posturing for power advantage.
One of our biggest threats means dealing with hundreds of million that stone females to death because they want a better one for a sex slave than the one they have now.
You think they’ll take a female anything seriously?
Uh, HELLO! Obama?!
