The Left knows that perception is very powerful, as is the image of social rejection (and no one can do it like SJW) - all underpinned by lies.
Of course, it is a basic part of their MO. Look at all the fake hate-crimes on campuses, the huge outcry and marches and counseling and mandated classes and national media coverage.... then when its learned who really did it.... *crickets*
Although recently there was one where the victim was Muslim, and the perps were too, Muslim leftwing activists. The victim made it clear that the campus authorities knew who did it even before the media coverage and stuff. The radical left, academia and media working hand in glove to shape perceptions.
