He apologized for the makeup still half-caked on his face. He had come from another interview, he explains to a small group of reporters invited to hear him discuss his vision for HUD, the Department of Housing and Urban Development that he has been leading for about eight months. Tapped for the job last summer by a lame duck president and by definition a short-termer, HUD Secretary Julian Castro wants to make the most of the time hes got in a Cabinet post that he once said held no upside politically.

Castro would make Hillary look not so long in the tooth?
Wow! That ‘RATS are about to go into “Full La Raza Commie” mode.
They have no choice; their support among whites has fallen steadily, and blacks have nothing to get excited about after watching six years’ worth of additional immigrants leave them in the dust. If they don’t start carrying 90% of the Hispanic vote, they’ll have problems nationally. While their media machine may win the day for them as it did in the last two presidential elections, the last mid-term seems to indicate the scales have fallen from the eyes of even low-information voters. Both whites and blacks will make up decreasing shares of the electorate with each passing minute, so both parties have to seek votes elsewhere.
He’s so young that side by side she’ll look like the crypt keeper.
Yep they saw what he had at the last obama victory party and have been grooming him ever since. The GOP needs to keep an eye on this guy hes a great speaker.
She doesnt need him to accomplish that. LOL
Already elected a hussein, twice.
I saw him speak a few months ago. He’s being trained to speak with the same cadence as Obama. It was actually a little creepy. The same pauses and cadence. He doesn’t impress me all that much, but I don’t discount the threat. Obama didn’t impress me, other than his 2004 speech which was actually a well structured speech and well delivered.
They are gonna have to put some gray in his hair, and spackle in some wrinkles, and yellow his teeth a bit. And maybe a Lincoln mole.
The good news is that Hispanics aren’t going to fund an EBT lifestyle for the Bro’s!
Damn you! I’m eating breakfast! LOL
The only reason the Democrats even consider Julian Castro as a VP and future presidential candidate is because he’s Hispanic and old bag white liberals Eleanor Clift all but admit it. Meanwhile, the Republicans are about to have two Hispanic candidates run for the presidency, and when our side talks about Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio we don’t mention or judge them based on their ethnicity, but on their ideas and stands on the issues of the day. If anything, in this instance, it’s the GOP that is living up to Martin Luther King’s vision of judging people by the content of their character and not the color of their skin. It’s the Democrats who judge people based solely on their ethnicity. They could care less about Castro’s ideas. He’s Hispanic and he fits their political needs. It’s all about symbolism over substance. Democrats do nothing but treat people of color in a patronizing manner. Julian Castro is an empty suit in a party filled with empty suits. The fact that one political party could potentially have two Hispanics, a Black man, and one woman running for president without hyping their color or gender but simply on their ideas and political stands is refreshing.
I know the guy is married, but he comes off looking like a flaming Queer.
Another Castro would thrill the American people, but he may not help too much in TX, where they are pre-committed to native son Jebbie.
It would be a ticket that only the American people could love!
You are the first Texan I have heard say that.
Most are either committed to Cruz, or remain uncommitted.
No, but plenty of them just jump right on. Their birthrate doesn’t jibe with their marriage rate...
There's a school of thought that suggests that Obama's speaking style is a form of NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), which is basically hypnotism. It obviously worked on a lot of people. I find his speaking style highly irritating.
