The family of South Carolina police shooting victim Walter Scott is preparing to fire back at the killer cop with a civil suit.
We will seek every penny of compensation that the family deserves, state Rep. Justin Bamberg, who is representing the Scott family as a lawyer, told the Daily News on Thursday. People in society are fed up with people getting away with things like this, fed up with law enforcement abusing the power that they have.

Guess he "won."
You have hit the nail on the head. Doesn't matter what race, sex or whatever the perp is.
Why are you working so hard to defame a dead man? So, he had a record. Does that give cops the right to kill him during a traffic stop? No. The correct answer is no.
“It’s been on the news.”
I’m on a ranch in West TX news is a little hard to come by out here and you can’t trust the cow’s. And I don’t watch TV I get my news here.
That absurdity keeps getting repeated endlessly, and it’s such an obvious straw man.
If I get stopped by a cop for any reason, I would never end up dead, for I would not choose to get out of my car, struggle with him take away his taser, then run for it. THOSE ARE ALL MY CHOICES.
If he shoots me in my seat nine times, with hands on the steering wheel, that is the only possible rational hysterical scenario where murder is indisputable.
THAT WOULD BE THE KILLER COP’S CHOICE.
All those choices are my normal role is the social contract. If I am not a thug, of course.
“What about the report that he had drugs in the car, plus weapons and ammunition, and he had made a video about looking for a cop to shoot? All reported by a local TV station.”
I do believe that you’re thinking about someone else. This was a man in his 50’s who was behind on his child support and missed a hearing.
“The dead 25-yr old thug was not an innocent baby.”
This was a man in his 50’s. Not a 25 year old ‘thug’.
Guess that's was the way God wanted it.
That’s entirely a matter of opinion, and knee jerk individual’s opinions don’t score very high in my universe.
That is the role of any real legal process. TV reporting certainly is not. Those race-baiting talking heads, leading questions and rush to judgement and showing that 30 seconds of video DOZENS OF TIMES in three days is certainly an unnecessary adding of massive fuel to a hysterical Fire.
Pretty sure God would have wanted him to obey the law.
I have never responded to a comment that begins with the word “so.”
Putting words in my mouth does not make anything factual.
That's why the cop might fry.
Why would the officer waste time tazing the thug if he was planning to shoot him 20 times?
First thing the cop decided that morning... I’m gonna shoot somebody a bunch of times today!
< /sarcasm >
Why would your beloved cop plant evidence on a dead body?
It’s absolutely accurate.
I made it up.
Just like you did.
You might actually be right there.
Or not.
Don’t you even know the details of the victims age?
Agreed!
I have never responded to a comment that begins with the word so.
Putting words in my mouth does not make anything factual.

You are absolutely correct. Please allow me to rephrase without editorializing in the process.
Do you believe that the silent witnesses you spoke of will provide justification for:
a) shooting the man in the back from a distance of what, 15-20 yards, and
b) moving evidence around?
Crooks, no, opportunists, yes. Try reading the response to which I was responding. The cop isn’t going to be punished by the suit, only the taxpayer. So, yea, it has nothing to do with punishment, only an opportunity to get money.
