I have a conspiracy theory that spinal cures will be forever kept under wraps to prevent body (or even head) transplants.
If you can perfectly repair spinal tissue, swapping heads would be no big deal.
Everyone wealthy would keep swapping their body for a shapely 25 year old one. A crazy black market for bodies would result.
An Ugly wrinkled old head on a twenty years old body, that’s the ticket!
You could always clone the bodies, less brains.
