Marilyn Manson punched in the face at Alberta Denny's: report
Toronto Sun ^ | April 7, 2015 | DAVE DORMER

CALGARY - This knuckle sandwich wasn't on the menu.

Rocker Marilyn Manson reportedly received a Grand Slam of a different kind while visiting a southern Alberta Denny's over the weekend when he was punched in the face by another patron.

And contrary to media reports, the punch was unprovoked, said Johnny Scott, one of a handful of fans who were in Lethbridge, Alta., restaurant, located 210 km south of Calgary.

Manson arrived around 2:30 a.m. with a small group of people, including security and a driver, Scott said.

The punch happened after a girl called her boyfriend over to take a photo with the rocker.

"Manson never got a chance to sit down," he said.

"He was being friendly with everyone, anyone who wanted a picture, he would give them a picture, anyone who wanted an autograph he would give them an autograph.

"They were just talking and the guy just punched him right in the face without any provocation.”

Celebrity website TMZ.com reported Manson allegedly called a woman in the restaurant a b----, resulting in her boyfriend punching him.

"He just took the shot and ran off right away," Scott said.

Scott said Manson's nose was bleeding after.

"I ended up hanging out with Marilyn Manson for a little while afterward ... he was pissed off because he was being nice."

Manson's security chased the attacker outside and police were called however no arrests were made.

Lethbridge police said in a release they were called to the eatery about 2:45 a.m. Sunday for reports of a "physical altercation."

"Three people were involved in the altercation which resulted in minor injuries," read the statement.

"No charges were laid and the file is concluded."

Police declined further comment.

Management at the Denny's also refused to comment.

Manson played a Saturday night show at the Enmax Centre in Lethbridge as part of his Hell Not Hallelujah Tour.

Calls to Manson's representatives were not returned.

Nothing good ever happens at 2:30 AM at a Denny’s...

Rhetorical question: Does that statement include the food?

A fight at Denny’s is news? It’s a daily event. Particularly an hour after bar closing time.

I never got the deal about some scrawny dude calling himself Marilyn Munster and putting on mascary.

Foetus was doing industrial rock long before Mr. Warner or Mr. NIN.

He was pretty good, in his twisted way, on Sons of Anarchy.

I got it...that guy totally sucks and millions of bands with millions as much talent never go anywhere. Somewhere P.T. Barnum is smiling!

He was permitted to rip up bibles onstage at his hate rallies. Free speech, whatever; he spent the 1990s playing in civic owned venues.

See if you are allowed by the cities to do that with a koran.

Even on private property, you’ll be audited by the IRS and hounded by the State department if you announce in advance that you are going to do it.

While there are some restaurants called Waffle House in Canada the well known chain has yet to make an appearance up here.

After reading about numerous incidents at Waffle Houses down south, I told my wife we'd be avoiding them on a trip to Florida last year. My wife scoffed at my reluctance to eat at one.

When we got back home to Wisconsin I read a news blurb about a racial incident in a Waffle House only a few miles from where we stayed in Mississippi. What is it about WHs that causes fights?

There’s a chain of waffle places in the South called Huddle House. Everybody calls them ‘Hoodlum House’.

I have no idea. They seem to attract crime like a magnet for some strange reason.
