Tend to agree no matter what the exchange between the officer and the perp was. Once he began running away justification to use deadly force was vanquished. I know there are laws on the books in some states about being able to use deadly force to stop theft of property but c’mon. The officer wa way over the top. I stand by my taking him to Ferguson without his gun and letting him out in the projects in ufll uniform.

The only justification would be if the perp was carrying a gun, where the fleeing felon rule might come in.

I really don’t see anything here but a murder in broad daylight under color of law.

A police officer is allowed to shoot a fleeing felon if the perp is a continuing threat to society. In this case, the perp was not armed and deadly force was not justified.
