The author seems to be rather confused on the meaning of "private resources." Liberals term "private resources" as that which governments can forcibly extract from the holdings of citizens. Those are known as "confiscated," not "private."

At the risk of combining politics and Christainity, Jesus never stated that your obligation to your fellow human being is met by letting the government take your money and spending it on those who they believe are needful of your resources, while at the same time skimming a little off the top for themselves.

Who do you think Jesus would look at favorably.
