My elderly father, who lives in a small town in Texas, came down with leishmaniasis a few years ago. His doctors were utterly at a loss how he got it over HERE. They finally decided a fly must have hitched a ride somewhere, somehow . . . and then found my dad. Luckily my dad only had one spot of it, on his wrist, and it was NOT the deadly type. Just bizarre.
It's a problem in Central America, so perhaps we have another gift from Obama's kids to be thankful for.
