No, you missed the point!

Gasoline can be stored in cans or drums and quickly transferred to a car.

Not so for electricity.

Gasoline can be transferred from one car to another; not so electricity.

30 gallons of gasoline can be pumped out of a tank using a portable electric generator and a few quarts of fuel at most in minutes in an emergency.

Not so electricity.

That same generator can charge an electric car.

Anyway, if it worries you that much then a Volt might be a better fit for you.
