CONCORD, New Hampshire -- Sen. Ted Cruz has raised $4 million in the eight days since officially launching his White House bid, his campaign confirmed Wednesday night.
And in a sign of his appeal to grassroots conservatives, his campaign said that 95 percent of the contributions came in amounts of $100 or less.
Cruz, who formally announced his presidential campaign on March 23, remains the only major candidate in either party to officially launch a White House bid. He raised $1 million within a day of his formal announcement, and $2 million within the first three days, according to his campaign. Cruz's campaign said bundlers accounted for one-third of the money raised and that 300 donors maxed out on their contributions to Cruz.

We need this guy. Desperately.
I donated, too and will keep on donating!
The only bad thing is we have about 12 more of these announcements that will be taken up by the media scrutinizing every moment of their lives. If each gets a month of digging and daily news stories that would take a year.....sounds about what the media will do. Over on the Dem side, they may have 3 candidates...maybe so their primary will be done very shortly after it starts. It will be 2012 all over again with too many candidates and the debates when a candidate talks for 3 minutes and all hell will break loose if one candidate only gets 2 minutes and 55 seconds. Oh what fun times we are about to see.
I donated too. That is usually the kiss of death, but hope springs eternal.
Send Ted whatever you can. Political campaigns always come back to you asking for more money later so by the time later comes you can plan ahead and save money for the occasion.
The limit for individuals in the primary season is $2,700.
I’ve sent a little for now and will save some “pennies” to send later.
I bet George Soros is waking up with a headache today.

Awesome! The people want him, that is evident. We just need to override the establishment GOP and we are home free! There’s no way he wouldn’t win against Hillary.
I gave him $100 the day he announced. Cruz and Walker are the only two who will get any of my money.
Just saw a Frank Luntz segment on Fox in which he rated audience response to campaign messages. Cruz was off the charts!

I agree.
The question I have is how do we get the Walker bandwagoners to get behind Cruz?
Splitting the votes of conservatives is how the RNC nominates designated losers like McCain and Romney.
Walker has been good for WI, but he has only recently decided he’s for the rule of law and American sovereignty.
Previously he’d stated he was for amnesty and open borders.

If Hillary does enter the fray then I believe you are correct.
It is her’s and the others will bow out quickly. jmo.
$4 million in a week, if he keeps this trend, that’s over $200 million in a year. I wonder if that could work...
Note though -— Obama’s fundraising 2012 campaign raised $1.1 Billion.

Hillary could exceed that (foreign donations included).
Ted Cruz has ways to go.
You are right. 4 mil is chicken feed.
“’Walker has been good for WI, but he has only recently decided hes for the rule of law and American sovereignty”
...but he has only recently SAID he’s decided hes for the rule of law and American sovereignty...
Stereotypes aside, haven’t we all had enough of non vetted candidates. Just check his motivations.
Why does he do what he does— he’ll repeat acting on that
Actions are loud, right?
“The question I have is how do we get the Walker bandwagoners to get behind Cruz?”
Cruz will pull them in. They’re good people, I was one of them, along with most FReepers. But bungling the question of Amnesty over and over means he’s simply ready, or he’s willing to kiss up to the money-men - either way, no deal for me.
They’ll see that, and come around.
I'm on Cruz control and have donated 4 times but I also like Walker.
The Walker walkers, will make up their own minds in due time.
It's early and we should not start an internal blood bath between good people that right now happen to like different candidates.
That stuff happened too much last cycle.
Have budgeted $100.00 a month.
Lots of beans and rice until Ted Cruz is our next real President.
Role on Ted Cruz....!!!!!
I don’t think Walker supporters are going to waste their vote if polls show it is a race between Cruz and Bush. I wouldn’t. If Walker and Bush are around 25% and Cruz is stuck at 10% I wound waste my vote so Bush can get elected.
I take that back. If Walker tag teams with Bush and goes hard negative against Cruz, he won’t get my vote no matter what the polls say.
I’m with you. Walker is 80% in the direction of Bush...they’ll come over.
