An excellent piece, and I think a correct assessment. It would be nice if it ended peacefully, but my thought is that history shows it will not.
Liberals imagine that their president can simply take whatever actions he pleases – including ones he previously admitted were unconstitutional – and that the next Republican president won’t do the same.
Considering the current behavior of Boehner I assume the GOPe will continue to perform fellatio on their friends across the aisle.
We need to gut the party and rebuild or form a new one. The current Republican Party (by every definition) sucks!
I will say, though, the enemy is not planning on being dependent on it's resident pansies and gangsta Gibsmedats. It is importing millions of potential foot soldiers, allies, and enforcers - illegal aliens, criminal gangs, and Muslims who know and care little about the "old" America who seek to either remake it into their own demented image or are agreeable to rule and exploit it along with their Liberal benefactors. Past a certain point, a restoration of America becomes a massively bloody and iffy undertaking.
Some day the worm will turn.

Removing my own political leanings from my daily encounters, and just acting as a “people watcher” I believe the author Schlicter, has hit the raw nerve. People in very non-political situations are speaking/venting. If the “the uni-party” were wise they would know the pulse is starting to throb.

It’s really not liberals. It’s people who believe in and profit from Big Government and corruption. That includes a lot of Republicans and Democrats, especially at the federal level.

I was at a bar this week and heard some prettt angry people about the previous Congress, this administration and the other bureaucrats.
They were talking about the same exact things we discuss and this is ultra-liberal Silicon Valley! !!
Two people vowed they would vote republican from now on and other said they may very well vote differently this next cycle.

This is why I won’t vote for a pro-amnesty candidate, even if they are less evil than the Dem candidate. No matter their reasons, they are advocating ignoring existing laws. This is a slippery slope we don’t want to start on (see the picture in this article).

I wish I had this writer’s optimism. The election last November served no purpose whatsoever- the RINOs voted to fund Obama’s executive amnesty without blinking. I’m sure they’ll leave Obamacare and other odious policies in place, while mouthing conservative platitudes they don’t believe.
