At the Beacon Drive In in Spartanburg - a legendary place in the upstate of SC - iconic, been there forever.
And their specialty is the double chili cheese with fries....it ain’t Michelle Obama territory....
it aint Michelle Obama territory....
My wife and I were there yesterday. Didn’t eat the fries, but were instead nourished by the words of Cruz. Men like this come along rarely. Nearly killed my cell phone battery recording the whole event !
Cruz should start showing up at some NASCAR races. Man, the applause would be deafening.
As a lifelong resident of the Palmetto State, I am dismayed that the eating place which seems to be the best known in SC is that one. I tried to eat there once and did not finish the burger, my wife and I took one bite each, then took a second one to make sure it really was that bad, looked at each other, threw the rest in the trash and went somewhere else to eat. I honestly don’t know why it exists. I know people who live in Spartanburg who would have to be on the edge of starvation to consider eating there if it were free.
There is a lot of great food in this state, why do we have to be known for a huge greasy spoon operation?
And their specialty is the double chili cheese with fries....
Would match them any day with Keller's Drive-Inn on Northwest Hwy in Dallas. The chili cheeseburger to dream on. And featuring a classic collection of hardcore drive-in molls for waitresses.
