Outstanding, Maestro! Rimsky-Korsakov produced many great works, and Russian Easter Overture is one of my faves.

I had the good fortune to sing in the chorus for "Le Coq d'Or" many years ago. I was always struck by his orchestration and his ability to work within a small musical "cell" - extracting everything that could be extracted from it.

"I am an American fighting man. I serve in the forces which guard my country and our way of life.
I am prepared to give my life in their defense."

He was the best orchestrator of his era. His first published piece was a symphony he wrote while a midshipman aboard a Russian ship. It's astonishing for an 18 year old.
