Immigration reform advocates are rushing to the defense of Sen. Robert Menendez (D-N.J.) following his indictment Wednesday on federal corruption charges.
“My fervent hope is that Senator Menendez emerges from the current troubles stronger than ever,” said Frank Sharry, executive director of immigration rights organization America’s Voice.
“For he is not only the senior Senator for New Jersey; he’s also the senior senator for Latinos,” he continued.

Wonder how long before he apologizes for supporting Israel over Obama and then how much longer after that happens before the corruption charges against him magically disappear.
Menendez is toastitos.
I’m somewhat torn. I get the sense as do many others he’s being charged because he opposed Obama on the Iran negotiations so who knows if the charges are real? On the other hand watching my enemies devour one another is an enjoyable spectacle.
I guess i’ll just fire up the popcorn and watch them in their discomfit.
Near the end of the movie, when all is lost, Thomas More, on trial for sedition for failing to sign an oath acknowledging Henry VIII as head of the church in England, tells the court the real reason he has been brought to the dock, his silence on the king's divorce and remarriage.
"Nevertheless, it is not for the Supremacy that you have sought my blood, but because I would not bend to the marriage!"
I'm not saying Menendez has anything in common with More except that he's been brought to trial for falling out of favor with the regime. He should take that moment in the dock to do something brave and say it our loud for all to hear. He's going down regardless. He could for once in his life do something noble.
Let’s hope if he goes down he knows where all the Democratic skeletons are buried and use the info in retribution!
