How about looking at the real cases that have come up, before getting all bent out of shape over hypotheticals. The real cases have been pretty blatant. The original bill (dunno about the proposed amendment) definitely provided breathing room for the real cases.
Well I am known to be a Christian and was subjected to all sorts of ridiculous rule making, meetings, and memos before anyone bothered to ask me if I would refuse service to same sex couples. I recognize that there are a lot of teachings that work beautiully on an individual level that would be a disaster if you tried to codify them.
