Because it has become quite apparent that you don’t believe the old testament and think perhaps the old testament is just a bunch of books written by mere men? (Who apparently thought that they were God because they speak in His voice IF their books were NOT divinely inspired, which you seem to insinuate?)

They were pre-Jesus, pre- crusification. There is a reason Christians don't follow Jewish law. We Christians take our cues from Jesus.
