I wrote NASCAR a letter today. Of course, they won’t give a hoot. Not until they see that millions of Christian fans stop following them. Corporate suicide.

I hope you’re right...I do hope millions of Christians decide to take a stand against the corporations and the others who are celebrating sin.

If that truly happens, there might be a change.

I,too wrote to NASCAR today and expect the same result. I wonder how many more seats they will have to remove, just so television will show full grandstands?

Judging by the half-empty grandstands at races over the last couple of years, I'd say that movement has already begun.

Those guys aren't racers anymore anyways. They're male models (Danica Patrick excluded) who drive slot cars without slots. They may as well have the spotters drive the cars by remote control.

Last week, Sam Hornish's spotter told him he was clear high so the idiot just moved up into another car as if he didn't have mirrors. Of course, on the way to the garage Hornish blamed his spotter.

The people in charge of the corporation you refer to as “NASCAR” don’t care if the corporation folds next season. You are a product, not a customer.

They do care that the right views are portrayed. They assume, with some justification, that the majority of fans with put up with anything to see their races. And if enough leave that some races get canceled, the blame will be laid on the hateful bigots who wouldn’t listen to the narrative. They care about other corporate sponsors who also have the same narrative to spin.

Many of those CEO’s don’t like people who like NASCAR or the NFL, so driving them out of the market is a net good.
