Seemingly there has been some sort of PR mistake, and everyone has been wrong aobut this law. According to Rush and Gov. Pence have both said that this law does not give anyone the power to discriminate against anybody. Seemingly, someone was misled to believe that this law would give a business owner the right to refuse service to parties on the basis of religous objection, but I guess that is not the case.

I tend to agree. It appears to be a PR mistake. I think this law was never intended to discriminate.

Yeah. I use this comparison below. It does NOT give them the right to do number one, and only MAY give them the right to do number two:

1. Clearly “uniformed” NeoNazi’s walk into a jewish deli and order sandwiches. Owner refuses to sell them sandwiches.

2. “Normally dressed” men walk into a Jewish deli and ask to reserve its banquet room to have their annual Hitler remembrance event. Owner refuses to schedule their event.

In number one, the proprieter is discriminating because of who they are. Not allowed. In numer two, owner is discriminating because he refuses to participate in an ACTIVITY that is repugnant to him.

People don’t get this. It’s the core here.
