He didn’t expect the backlash? He got plenty of warning there’d be a backlash. He simply wasn’t prepared to defend the law. His appearance on Stephanopoulous was pathetic, no wonder the state GOP senators had to step up. Mr. Pence, the libs won’t like you no matter what you say, so you might as well stand up for principle, and own it. If not, get used to life as a doormat.

Any fix to the law has to go through the IN legislature before it gets to Pence’s desk for signature.

Any idea on how that’ll work out?

It’s too early to decide and we have been fooled before by false conservatives but I think that Ted Cruz would have handled it much better.

A person has to actually believe in something to be a real leader. Ronald Reagan was one of those true leaders who believed in something and could articulate it and was not afraid to take on the mob. I think Mike Spence appears to be one of those go-along-to-get-along politicians that are everywhere.
