Over-roasted.

Tastes burnt, like charcoal.

Nasty on the digestion. Plus the taste of charcoal - ummm. [barf].

Undoubtedly lets them mix pretty much any beans into the roasting blend.

Burnt tastes like burnt; the original taste of the bean is gone.

Starbucks = 100% pure marketing, with a 100% garbage product.

Right you are - Absolutely my impression, too.
Starbucks over-roasts crappy coffee beans in order to create a strong tasting brew. (Burnt tasting)
Utter over - hyped crap brew, compared to other small mom & pop, small franchise coffee.

I agree wholeheartedly. The cheapest store brand coffee has a better roast than the swill they pass off as coffee at these pretentious coffee stands.

Besides their holier than though Liberalism is really of putting.
