“Well, that Immigration issue boycott was INTENSE and yet Arizona did okay ... so I dont think these state boycotts are as effective in damaging a state as proponents think they are.”
Well Jan Brewer vetoed RFRA in Arizona. So that one worked.
It remains to be seen if a boycott will have any effect in Indiana.
She vetoed that bill, but I don’t see that there was any intense boycott of the state like there was for the Immigration Issue. That was very INTENSE. I don’t think her decision had any relation with any opposition.
In fact, she explicitly says it doesn’t ...

“I call them as I see them, despite the cheers or the boos from the crowd,” Brewer said, criticizing what she described as a “broadly worded” bill that “could result in unintended and negative consequences.”

And from what I know of Brewer, I believe her entirely!
Brewer backed down when McCain denounced the bill and Romney tweeted against it.
There was talk of business pressure to veto the religious freedom bill last year and then AZ Gov. Brewer’s veto last year along with the loud and powerful reaction to Indiana’s bill bears that out.
