You're not missing anything. Trust me on this: they suck. Horrible music.
And it wasn’t even “anti-gay.” The way the law was written it protected anyone who wanted to refuse service based on their beliefs. Hell, it would have protected musloids. It would have protected gays. Again, the media throws out the “anti” word (as they do so often for the immigration debate), and people jump on the bandwagon without knowing what the hell they are talking about.
So much half-assedness these days.
Wait. What?! Illinois has a Religious Freedom Restoration Act? And Obama voted for it when he was a State Senator?!
YOU DON'T SAY!!! :-)
STFU and play, morons. Your just musicians, after all. You're not George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.
Well, that Immigration issue boycott was INTENSE and yet Arizona did okay ... so I don’t think these “state boycotts” are as effective in damaging a state as proponents think they are.
Never heard of them. But all that means is that I never heard of them.
So Wilco, like many others, are exercising a freedom they wish to deny to others...
As an Indiana resident, I have to say, this upsets me so much that I may lose at least 10 seconds of sleep tonight over this cancellation.
“Well, that Immigration issue boycott was INTENSE and yet Arizona did okay ... so I dont think these state boycotts are as effective in damaging a state as proponents think they are.”
Well Jan Brewer vetoed RFRA in Arizona. So that one worked.
It remains to be seen if a boycott will have any effect in Indiana.
The Gaystapo is on the rampage again!
Wilco is discriminating then????!!!
So Wilco is doing exactly what they think Christians SHOULDN’T have the right to do, i.e., refuse service based on their moral beliefs. Hypocrites.
Exactly. Really shows how really mentally challenged leftists are. They simply cannot think for themselves but easily follow the emotional herd wherever the braying leads.
She vetoed that bill, but I don’t see that there was any intense boycott of the state like there was for the Immigration Issue. That was very INTENSE. I don’t think her decision had any relation with any opposition.
In fact, she explicitly says it doesn’t ...

“I call them as I see them, despite the cheers or the boos from the crowd,” Brewer said, criticizing what she described as a “broadly worded” bill that “could result in unintended and negative consequences.”

And from what I know of Brewer, I believe her entirely!
A band that specializes in incredibly bland country-rock music for hipsters. This is a win for Indiana.
Never heard of ‘em.
Yeah, Okay
WHO?
Wilco who?
Nothing worse than a whiny millennial douchebag band gone queer activist.
