Seattle Mayor Prohibits City Employees From Traveling to Indiana Mar 28, 201 By EMILY SHAPIRO
The mayor of Seattle today prohibited municipal employees from traveling to Indiana on city funds, as the backlash spread against the state's Religious Freedom Restoration Act.
Seattle Mayor Ed Murray's decision comes in response to the law signed Thursday by Indiana Gov. Mike Pence that allows businesses to refuse service to gays and lesbians for religious reasons.
Murray said Indiana's new law "doesn't reflect the values" of Seattle.
"Seattle has been a leader in the fight to protect civil rights and ensure equality for all people -- no matter who you are, or who you love," Murray said today in a statement.
"This is why I am ordering that none of our taxpayer dollars should go toward supporting this discriminatory law," Murray's statement continued.

Does it? Nobody else posted that, so I wondered. Incredible point, if true. Shows how much of an idiot Seattle elected.
Anti-Christian bigots too.
“You ever small another man’s tukus? You’d be angry too” -Howard Stern
yep, big ole dog whistle for them to hide in the closet.
“Seattle has been a leader in the fight to protect civil rights and ensure equality for all people — no matter who you are, or who you love,” Murray said today in a statement.
Unless you are a Christian and want to exercise your beliefs in all aspects of your life.
Repent, marxist. Time is short.
The irrational screeching from the Left over this law is scarily pathological.
I don’t want anyone like them in MY state, so it is obviously a good law.
Good! If they are from Seattle, it’s almost certain they are liberals. Stay home!
What an utter shame for this country. I wonder if it was like this in other great nations as they crashed and burned...
Well, besides junkets disguised as "official business", there's training, professional conferences, national association meetings, etc.
“”Seattle has been a leader in the fight to protect civil rights and ensure equality for all people — no matter who you are, or who you love,” Murray said today in a statement.”
What about “civil rights”, i.e., the free exercise of religion as codified in the First Amendment, for Christians? What about their civil rights? They are choosing not to associate with those who they believe are offending God, which is a valid religious concern. It’s not like they are refusing to do business with people over immutable characteristics such as race. Homosexuality is not an immutable characteristic, but a lifestyle choice, despite whatever Ted Olsen says.
Do you mean to say that he's a sodomite?
That would make him insane, and given over to evil and perversion.
Too bad the mayor didn’t include Seattle from spending ANY money in Indiana. I would love to hear the backlash when some major item (made in Indiana) fails and a replacement is needed.
Not based on buggery... keep in mind there is a trick question, can gays be married, and the answer is yes of course, same as straights are, to the opposite sex.
“We won’t allow people to go to Indiana because we believe in freedom. “
And the upkeep of existing business might be needed already... this is really quite petty of Seattle. Will they still visit Saudi Arabia? They do things to “immoral” people there that would “stune Seattle’s beeber.” Those people could wish they were only refused a decorated cake.-
The cluster of nasties in Rom. 1:20ff tends to go together. (It ain’t ALL about buggery.)
Ed Murray...any relation to Patty?
