When one man sat down next to a second man in a St. Louis light rail car and asked him his opinion on the shooting of Michael Brown, it was not the beginning of a discussion.
It was the start of an assault, police said.
The second man, who was white, didn't want to answer the question. Then the first man, who was black, boxed him in the face. Two more African-American men joined in the beating, according to a police report about Monday's incident.
It was caught on surveillance cameras on the MetroLink train and a passenger recorded it with a cell phone and posted the video online. It has gone viral.
Police confirmed to CNN that the online images came from the attack.

The white man displayed microaggression against the three yutes. The one yute only wanted to use his cell phone, the white man declined. This was a microinsult to the yute. Furthermore, by not expressing an opinion of Michael Brown, the white man committed microinvalidation which led to the microassault. The white man then tried to assert his white privilege and then it really got bad.
Did you even bother to re-read your post? You said any instance of ‘black on white’ crime is shouted from the rooftops by the media, which is hardly the case. Unless ‘black on white’ crime means whites attacking blacks in your world. In mine, it does not.
Well, it’s not obvious which of my posts you were referring to, but yes, I did mean to write “white on black crimes get shouted from the rooftops by the media”, not black on white. Should have been clear from the context. Unfortunately, FR doesn’t have an edit feature once you post.
Seems to be increasingly the case, and keep in mind that the media tries to keep stories like this [black on white crime] under wraps (whereas every possible case of black on white crime, however dubious, gets shouted from the rooftops).
