President Barack Obama has certainly staked a lot on the fate of likely deserter Bowe Bergdahl. He sacrificed the lives of several of our men in uniform in a vain attempt to rescue him, then traded five Taliban terrorists from Guantanamo Bay for his release.

Now, it appears the president is even willing to obstruct justice for Bergdahl. Recent reports indicate that senior Department of Defense officials are doing their best to poison the well for those prosecuting Bergdahl.

Master Sgt. Mark Allen was paralyzed by a sniper’s bullet during a mission to find Bowe Bergdahl in Afghanistan back in 2009. Allen can’t speak and needs continual care as result of being shot in the head. Along with millions of other Americans, his wife Shannon wants- and deserves- an explanation. Mrs. Allen took to Facebook saying, "Meet my husband. Injuries directly brought to you by the actions of this traitor. He can’t give an account of what went down, because he can no longer speak. Now, which guy is a ‘hero’ again?!? Sick.”

Much attention has been given to the questionable trade of five Taliban commanders who were imprisoned in Gitmo by the Obama administration to retrieve Bergdahl, despite clear and obvious suspicions surrounding the events that led to Bergdahl’s disappearance. But not enough attention has been given to the lives of the soldiers who were injured or lost as a result of trying to retrieve Bowe Bergdahl. The soldiers who died were Private First Class Morris Walker, Staff Sergeant Clayton Bowen, Staff Sergeant Kurt Curtiss, Second Lieutenant Darryn Andrews, Private First Class Matthew Martinek, and Staff Sergeant Michael Murphrey.

It angers me that, from what I’ve seen, NO ONE on national TV is willing to call Obama what I personally believe that he is: a TRAITOR.
