We quite rightly object to similar conclusion-jumping about the motivation of mass shooters. Why is it acceptable for us to do the same here?
To many leftists it appears that all mass shooters are by definition white supremacists and rightwingnuts.
Sadly, to some on the right it appears all mass murderers are by definition homos or Islamists. What is wrong with waiting for evidence to emerge?

What a pickle medical privacy turns out to be, legally. Personally, I don’t think it’s fair to Lufthansa. They were not allowed to see what doctors were screaming out about. I believe a change needs to be made, worldwide. Someone in a job in which lives are at stake like pilot may need to sign away some forms of medical privacy upon employ.
The employee would have to fill out forms guaranteeing any finding by medical professionals that he is unfit for duty will be told his employer, period. I don’t think STDs or HIV rises to unfitness. But ths guy — he was a time bomb and Lufthansa had no way of knowing.
For the good of society they should pay out for these survivors but I do NOT see negligence. They did everything they legally could.
