If that airline was like the regionals and second tier airlines here I’d say he was right to be agitated... This guy had absolutely minimal hours to be in the cabin and was likely making just enough to buy ramen noodles and pay his electric bill... You’d be surprised to know that regional pilots often make only in the $20k range and they get screwed daily ,,, with LOTS of unpaid time hanging out in dreary airports.
I am surprised, I would think that someone whose skills others depend on with their lives would be paid better.
