Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's speech before Congress challenging President Barack Obama's Iran policy as well as the premier's controversial "Arabs are voting in droves" comments during the Israeli election campaign have so infuriated African-American Democrats that "it will be very difficult" for them to lend a sympathetic ear to Israel's concerns in Congress, Newsweek is reporting on Friday.
The Congressional Black Caucus is gone, a Democratic congressional aide told Newsweek.
The reported alienation felt by Black Democrats has practical significance for Netanyahu since it effectively kills any chance that lawmakers could submit legislation mandating new Iran sanctions that would have enough supporters to override an Obama veto.
Bibi ensured there will be no veto-proof majority in the House, a Capitol Hill source told Newsweek.

Women and minorities hardest hit...
Allen West is a Black Republican, not a democrat.
So what and who cares?
Black Democrats don’t even know where Israel even is located.
One of them can’t even park a damn car.
I didn’t see a single word as to how the congressional white caucus voted....am I missing something???
Black democrats walked through an early Tea Party event - said they were spit on and called the ‘N” word. Brietbart offered a $100,000 for any proof of that lie. No takers cause it never happened.
So yeah, we ‘lost’ the black caucus - and in the process we lost nothing. Netanyahu’s better off without them too.
For us ... it means that without that group helping on Iran issues, Obama has a free hand. That’s the significance.
Pretty hard to burn a bridge that was never there.
Right you are. I missed the ‘democrat’ part of your reply.
There never was one. Black anti-semitism is prevalent despite the strong role Jews played in the Civil Rights Movement.
I know the Jews had a friend in Dr. Martin Luther King. Perhaps this “bunch” doesn’t care about King!

He is also attributed with having said, “When people criticize Zionists, they mean Jews. You’re talking anti-Semitism,” in response to a student who had attacked Zionism during a dinner event with Dr. King in 1968.

MLK had a dream.
It seems most Democrats, regardless of color, don’t. Instead, they fight to keep that dream from ever becoming reality.
Everything is ‘racial’ with the Black Democrats!
I wouldn’t say that ...

Protesters Decry Congressional Black Caucus Support for Israel
http://www.wrmea.org/events-blog/protesters-decry-congressional-black-caucus-support-for-israel.html
Chanting slogans and holding signs reading Palestinian Lives Matter, Israel Apartheid Is Evil, and CBC Votes to Militarize While Black People are Criminalized, a group of some 40 locally and nationally known African-American activists, artists and journalists gathered outside the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC on Sept. 24 to protest the 44th Annual Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) Legislative Conference. The rally was called to publicly shame and hold the CBC accountable for its poor leadership on many critical issues, including its support for the July 11 House resolution to affirm Israel’s right to self defense in light of its most recent bombing of Gaza.
We want to shame the CBC, who voted to support Israel’s bombing of Gaza, which killed 2,000 Palestinians, including more than 500 children, Netfa Freeman of the International Committee to Free the Cuban Five told the crowd outside the conference venue. The CBC does not represent us. They should be standing out here with us.
What the CBC has been doing for several years is embarrassing to me as a woman of African descent, said Asantewaa Nkrumah-Ture, a Washington, DC-based activist. Its time to hold our leaders accountable.
Why exactly does an Israeli need our black caucus? Is Bibi running for something here?
It’s in regards to Obama having a free hand in regards to Iran ... that’s where it comes into play.
