I have to agree with this position. If you have a "Y" chromosome, you are a male. If you don't, you are a female. This person does not have a "Y" Chromosome, and is therefore Female, regardless of genitalia.

Now I would presume that this person has a uterus and ovaries, but I haven't seen that mentioned anywhere.

I’m wondering what type of genitals this person has? The article didn’t say how that supposed birth defect was remedied, if at all, only that hormone therapy was used.

And all of this medical information is really just on the word of the person involved. There is no way for the press to check out whether there really is a genetic issue here, the guy/girl just SAID that was the case.
