Are these people going through the whole immigration process legitimately and are they waiting in line? I thought it took years to come through legally to become a US citizen? Are they passing the test they need to take? Do they even try to learn English? Are they coming in with underwear bombs not checked?

As I understand it (could be wrong) these people are being brought here under refugee status which is different than “illegal immigrant”.

I was approached by social services agency regarding resettlement of north African refugees. I believe the deal was that the agency would either pay or guarantee the refugees rent payment for one year while they found work and got established. It was an ongoing agreement where they would fill any available vacancies. I turned it down.
