Cruz: Re humility...I read a1970’s Newsweek magazine this morning that predicted global cooling and the only way to prevent this was massive control of our energy sector, our economy and aspect of our lives.Then advocates of global cooling switched to global warming with the exact same solutions. Now topic is climate change and the solution is still government control of the energy sector and every aspect of our lives.
Cruz: When somebody keeps proposing the same solution regardless of the problem, you start to think, maybe they just like government control of the energy sector and every aspect of our lives.
I am the child of two mathematicians and scientist, and if anyone disproves their apocalyptic claims, they don’t engage in the reasoned debate, instead scream you’re a denier and brand you a heretic.
He pointed out people like Gore who are making tons of money and scientist are getting grants on this theory that cannot be backed up.
Cruz: You asked shouldn’t we do everything. We shouldn’t cause hard working American’s electricity bills to go through the roof. It causes real harm and suffering when millions of people have to lose their jobs because the feds want to take over large aspects of our lives, when single moms who want to feed their kids, but see the energy bill skyrocket.
