Germanwings, the low-fare unit of Deutsche Lufthansa AG, hasnt disclosed the identity of the pilots....
Why is that?

Don’t mention the religion of peace. Everyone knows they wouldn’t have done something as horrible as this.

Probably not a muslim, or he would have been screaming “allahu akbar.” They always do. It guarantees them a trip to Orgy Heaven.

Is that 630 total hours of flight time? Euro flight training seems skimpy. I doubt a 28 year old would be flying an airbus of a US airline.

4. He allegedly locked the pilot out of the cockpit when the pilot went to use the restroom. I would imagine this would be standard procedure to keep the cabin door locked sort security purposes. I'm a bit surprised the captain would not have a key. Can the door only be opened from inside?
If the copilot can be heard breathing, but nothing else, is it possible the copilot passed out or had a stroke?

A locked cockpit door can normally be unlocked from outside, apparently. Here the co-pilot deliberately locked him out. That’s not something done after having a stroke or whatever

Unreal! FAA recognized as one of the best. With all the screening and cert. requirements, still slips through. Nothing is foolproof.. Good find.

My memory says Rheinland-Pfalz is a state and not a city. Within it are a number of cities. I was stationed there once in the city of Bad Kreuznach.

Regardless of his motivation, he is burning in hell today if he did this terrible act.

"If the copilot can be heard breathing, but nothing else, is it possible the copilot passed out or had a stroke?"
A commentator on CNBC reporting on the German press conference characterized the breathing as calm and normal and not indicative of a health issue. No words were spoken by the co-pilot.
