Agreed...usually if a pilot leaves they have a flight attendant step inside the cockpit until the pilot returns.

The authorities don’t want the extra pressure from the public to do the things they’re telling themselves they’re going to end up having to do, anyway.

They’re going to LIE:

They’re going to SAY the pilot flying had a heart attack, or seizure.

They’re going to pull a fast one and SAY this was all a tragic accident.

We haven’t heard the names of the pilots SPECIFICALLY BECAUSE the airline big-wigs feared a Kamikaze scenario.

We should be digging into Facebook, Twitter etc. on these pilots by now. The odds of a medical event is slim enough, but to have it occur while alone is astronomical. Plus the remaining pilot would probably have enough in him to make a may day call if he was suddenly sick. These guys are on statins and blood pressure meds like the rest of us. At least he did not turn off the transponder.
