Likely 2016 presidential candidate Scott Walker is headed to the Texas-Mexico border on Friday, and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott will be there to show him the ropes.
Walker's trip is part of a swing through Texas that will take the Wisconsin governor to Houston on Saturday. He is the keynote speaker at the Harris County GOP's Lincoln-Reagan Dinner, which Abbott is also slated to attend.
"Gov. Walker looks forward to taking a close look at U.S. border security with Gov. Abbott," AshLee Strong, a spokeswoman for Walker's Our American Revival PAC, said in a statement. "While President Obama has failed to work with governors to address serious, ongoing concerns at the border, Gov. Walker looks forward to talking to officials on the ground about real solutions."

Where exactly is the Texas-Mexico border? Somewhere near Austin?
They’ll be going to the border.
Tell him to try the Torta Cubana, in honor of our next president.
Yum. Great place for a good meal. Eat there about once a month.
Everyone needs a clue about the border.
Especially potential presidential candidates.
Of course, I'm already committed to Cruz for the long haul, like I was when he was running for Senate.

FReep Mail me if you want on, or off, this Wisconsin interest ping list.
I’ll wager the two governors will get along beautifully.
In before the first Walker is “pandering” comment...
That Mexican restaurant looks pretty inviting.......
I think it’s somewhere up in Oklahoma by now.
“Everyone needs a clue about the border”
Walker then needs to get a clue about hiring former top Romney staffers for his campaign. :-)
Since the article says he is touring the border with Governor Abbott...I was unaware the border had moved to Austin or Houston...
Though I would not be surprised if it had.:)
Me too!
