CNN Poll: Voters’ Ideal 2016 Candidate an Anti-Obama
Breitbart ^

Posted on 03/24/2015 5:28:14 PM PDT by Red in Blue PA

A new CNN poll, asking Americans about their “perfect” candidate in 2016, is a bitter prelude to Obama’s presidential legacy. By strong majorities, Americans want a political leader with lots of experience who will reverse Obama’s policies.

Barack Obama first registered on the national political scene a scant four years before he was elected President. His entry into the national political arena was precipitated by a speech to the Democrat National Convention in 2004, when he was a state Senator and candidate for the US Senate. Rather than an event or singular accomplishment, his political fortunes were forged in words.

According to the CNN poll, 59% of Americans would prefer Obama’s successor to be a seasoned political leader who has been on the national scene, and in the public eye, for many years rather than a newcomer. An equally strong majority would prefer the next President to have executive experience, either in government or business, rather than a legislator.

Almost 60% of voters, 57%, want the next president to reverse most of Obama’s policies. It is important to note that voters weren’t asked about any specific policies they wanted reversed. Far more troubling for Obama’s thoughts about his legacy, voters simply generally want to scrap his policies. In other words, their default position is that, from a national policy perspective, the Obama years ought to be simply erased.

This opens the door very wide for Cruz. That is if the lunatic fringe and the establishment wings of our party don’t slam it shut 1st.

The Democrats and Obama’s answer to this is to import a more supportive population from Central America and have many millions of new voters registered by 2016. The GOPe seem to be in on the plot.

Isn’t it the opposite? Ted doesn’t have executive experience and is a first term Senator, like Obama.

It won’t be long now.

As soon as they get one or two Dem candidates officially in the race, 0bama and the MSM’s love affair with him will be over.

Those candidates will run away from 0bama and the MSM will have no choice but to throw him under the bus.

This poll was created to hurt Cruz. They want someone experienced and not a political newcomer and not a legislator. Of course, this doesn’t count Hillary or any RINO.

If one’s life has been turned up side down by Obama and his political re-design of the US - then one must first place blame on the Press Corp for not even once asking if this guy was qualified to become the US first bi-racial president...let alone his socialist tenancies...I for one want the entire two terms of Obama erased and everything his administration has done...and pray this never happens again!

This is the problem of Obama ramming his agenda through with no compromises and no support from any Republicans, now relying on executive action. With such thin support, it can just be erased. And the next President can erase the executive action with his pen.

Sounds like they’re OK with Walker. You could do worse...

His “legacy” is secure. He will be remembered as the first black president who destroyed American and instituted Sharia Law. At least that’s what he wants his legacy to be.

If it’s anything different from that the press will make it be what he wants it to be.

The Democrats will say the nation needs the old nag, Hillary, because she has experience...all of it bad, but they won’t admit it.

The door is open for Cruz...or Walker...or Kasich...or...

There are a LOT of good republican candidates available.

We should let the selection process work, avoid the circular firing squd, and unite behind the eventual candidate.

I would counter that by saying that Ted has impressive experience in boldly leading the fight to reverse Obama's policies, and to help raise awareness of the harm they are doing, which certainly helped lead to those poll results.

Being a trial attorney should count a little higher up the ladder than a community organizer I’d think...
