A new CNN poll, asking Americans about their perfect candidate in 2016, is a bitter prelude to Obamas presidential legacy. By strong majorities, Americans want a political leader with lots of experience who will reverse Obamas policies.
Barack Obama first registered on the national political scene a scant four years before he was elected President. His entry into the national political arena was precipitated by a speech to the Democrat National Convention in 2004, when he was a state Senator and candidate for the US Senate. Rather than an event or singular accomplishment, his political fortunes were forged in words.
According to the CNN poll, 59% of Americans would prefer Obamas successor to be a seasoned political leader who has been on the national scene, and in the public eye, for many years rather than a newcomer. An equally strong majority would prefer the next President to have executive experience, either in government or business, rather than a legislator.

Most of the Republican Governors would be great... I’d love to see Sandoval run, but I think he is aiming for Harry...
If the ticket was Cruz/______ or _____/Cruz I’ll support it... if we have 2 strong conservatives on the ticket, we might win some swing states and help the senate...stay Republican.
Made my first, albeit small donation for Cruz yesterday. There will be more of them as the months go by.
> If ones life has been turned up side down by Obama and his political re-design of the US - then one must first place blame on the Press Corp for not even once asking if this guy was qualified to become the US first bi-racial president...let alone his socialist tenancies...I for one want the entire two terms of Obama erased and everything his administration has done...and pray this never happens again!
I’m a victim of 0’s economic policies and its fallout big time. It resulted in my income dropping significantly and much emotional distress and stress. I hold him and the MSM accountable and hope he hangs for treason or is treated as a pariah and forced to move out of the U.S. at a minimum.
Plus he shut down the gov. Not just any noob can pull that off.
I wish it was as simple as that. This evil genie will not be stuffed back in the bottle easily if at all. Too much damage.
He has cost me a a fortune late in life that will be almost impossible to recover.
CNN/ORC teaming up again to defecate on the Cruz campaign with droppings the size of Karl Marx.
Which means TED!!!!!
I stand with Ted
Ah, 92% do not want a white Hispanic for president.
He was Soliciter General for the state of Texas and argued before the Supreme Court, little bit more than trial attorney, way lot more than community organizer.
Might try out a new tag line.
I do think this issue has some reality to it. It's been on my radar for a while now. I also think Cruz could quickly overcome it if he wins the nomination.
Nobody is going to think Hillary, or Liz, or whatever dem they nominate (to pretend they are a new democrat) is going to change from the bamster's policies, Cruz is smart enough to hammer on that. He's also talented enough to demonstrate his vision for the future. As you said, leadership qualities will be the key.
I made my first donation to Cruz tonight.
Anyone with half a brain knew this in 2008. But McCain was not a viable anti-Obama. He’s a fool.
