Theres something interesting going on online. Just go to Facebook, Twitter, and Google+ and search for Ted Cruz, #TedCruz2016″ or Ted Cruz candidate. Do you notice something?
Thats right, peoples heads are truly exploding.
Many conservative activists are celebrating Cruzs official announcement that hell run for president. They believe hes just what they and the rest of America need: a principled, small-government conservative who sticks to his guns no matter what...
But why are leftists heads exploding as well? Ive got no doubt I know the answer: they fear him. Tremendously even. He is everything they oppose: a true, small-government conservative. And thats not all; hes also articulate, has a spine, and is highly educated. On top of all that, hes one of the few Republican politicians who are able to energize the conservative base. Thats the same group of voters who stayed home in 2012 and 2008, thereby handing the presidency to Obama.

Was Peter King being interviewed in his glass house when he said that?
The RATS and GOP-e know we won the midterms with the help of newly-’sane’ Obama voters. Cruz just needs to earn their commitment now, and cement it... getting unregistered/apathetic evangelicals committed now is job 1.
Notice NO republican ‘leadership’ has commented on his announcement today.
I don’t care what the UNARMED think.
I detested McCain then as I do now but I greatly feared the Magic One (and knew he was evil) and I was awe-struck by Palin. All-in-all I was highly motivated. I don’t understand lack of conservative motivation in 2008. I understand it more in 2012.
Teds father is VERY sharp.
The mainstream will be nonplussed. The usual rhetoric will seem petty and vicious going after a seasoned citizen.
Obama will go ballistic being drug thru the mud by Cruz, gonna be a hoot.
Ted is the first candidate I have been enthusiastic about since Bush 2000.
I kind of agree with all of that.....
I don’t know if the evangelical vote is the key to Cruz or not...he can draw from those, from liberty minded conservatives, for anti big government voters, for economic conservative voters too. He has broad conservative appeal.
Deleted morning talk show host on twitter.Commented on Cruz saying American is already great. As an attack on Cruz, naming him.
All told, that's a great start.
The main reason I prefer him over Walker is how well he deals with the media. He is so good when ambushed, and can take on ANY of them one on one, or even one against many. His ability to explain conservatism may be the best since Reagan. My only misgiving is his lack of executive experience, but I'm letting go on that one for now.
Yep! I must admit that I always have voted for the Republican, although Perot duped me in his first attempt. They never give us any choice or anything to get excited about. Bush? Dole? Bush? Bush? McCain? Romney? No excitement there. They tried to knock off Reagan, but he won anyway. That was excitement, but so long ago. But Palin, I watched her speech the day they introduced her, and I was inspired to do something which I have never done before or since: Send them money. I will send Cruz some money.
Good post, and allow me a few thoughts on the executive experience thing: the Presidency is not an executive position now....hasn’t been in years. It’s a leadership position, a set the direction position, a bully pulpit position.
Consider Obama: zero executive experience, and yet, he’s accomplished EVERYTHING he wanted to. How? Not through competence - but through appointing like minded people throughout government.
If Ted Cruz can do FOR America what Obama has done TO America - it will be an astonishing success indeed.
Liberal hate is funny.
The leftist lies and hate-propaganda against Senator Cruz know no bounds. Expect them to attack his wife, Heidi, his daughters, Catherine and Caroline, and his father, Rafael. Also look for the fifth-column media to use key words and phrases designed to agitate and activate leftist lone-wolf lunatics into possible acts of violence.
May God protect Senator Cruz and his family from the demonicrats and their utter wickedness.
I do think the bamster could have done a lot more had he been more experienced, say as a governor, his first couple of years; his inability to get Obamacare through on a fast track was a sign of his inexperience. He could have done a LOT more damage with more things had he been more capable.
I do believe Cruz will be able to jump start quickly and learn from the bamsters early mistakes, mainly because of what I said before: His ability to handle the media is extraordinary. When the entire force of the MSM is aimed at him and his policies, I think he can handle it, much as Reagan was able to.
Me too. I wanted to cut the "McCain" part off of the sign, just leave the "Palin" part.
and he probably has 40 IQ points on Obama too......don’t sell that short. Dershowitz called him by far his most intelligent student ever....and that would include Obama.
I saw that a lot, mostly on car bumper stickers. I did it to mine in fact.
This was my wife’s yard sign.... she did NOT want me to do this. :-|
