Excerpt.
Similarly, in its first naturalization statute, Congress declared that
the children of citizens of the United States, that may be born beyond
the sea, or out of the limits of the United States, shall be considered
as natural born citizens
I never left — While I do like Cruz, I'm not willing to cast my vote for someone I know/believe to be ineligible.
(The Constitution must be respected, especially when the constrictions chafe, otherwise what is the point of a Constitution when its limitations only apply when you wish them to?)
What to do?
They are shredding the Constitution and a few voices cry in the wilderness.
Whatever happens, it ultimately is not going to be OK.
Take our chances with Cruz or assume the position?
Consider the whole of it, then decide.
Certainly another Democrat in office is not acceptable to me. Neither is abandoning the Constitution.
I agree — I am unwilling to undermine the Constitution with my vote.
If that means I have to vote third-party, that's fine — I voted for my State's former governor [Gary Johnson] rather than violate my principles and vote for Romney… it was nice having a conscience free and clear on the matter, even though my guy lost.
Trump is a scumbag, an unprincipled liar who is only interested in promoting whayever product he has for sale at the moment.
Shame on anyone who ever took him seriously, just because he was saying bad things about people we don’t like. We never should have loaned him even an ounce of credibility.
Trump, like a few other light weight GOP candidates is just a spoiler candidate designed to cast doubt and dispersions against Cruz and other top tier anti GOP-e candidates and to siphon off supporters and campaign money. Pay him no heed or mind. As soon as he has done the bidding of his GOP-e masters he will just slither away again. He is not a serious candidate, just a spoiler/distractor and genuine trouble maker.
