I live in WA state, and I have not heard of them trying to stop Daylight Saving Time. We need it up here, because light is short in the winter, so when DST arrives, we have longer light in the spring and summer. I do not think abolishing it would be popular, and if a legislator is proposing it, I would like to know their name.
Moving the clock for an hour back or forward is not that big a deal. An hour difference in time does not create a jet lag feeling. If you think it does, then you are a wuss.
