My take was, Huckabee was a DC kind of guy who knew how to talk the people's talk when he was down home with the folks.
Walker might be a Midwestern economic conservative who's also a LaFollette (RiNO) Republican on social issues .... which is why I'm strongly leaning toward Cruz.

My take is that I think Huckabee to be genuine and resent persons that bad mouth him.
HOWEVER, I AM SUPPORTING SENATOR TED CRUZ! Not because of a dislike for Huckabee, but because I think Ted is the better choice. Both Ted and Mike are genuine social/moral conservatives, but I think lately that Ted has been willing to go more out on a limb to promote social conservatism. Plus, he appeals to other “conservative” elements of the GOP that are necessary to win. I do not share the negative view of Huckabee expressed so often on this forum, but I DO share and admiration of Ted Cruz found here.
Ted is the best man. He is real, articulate, and what I believe we need in a GOP candidate. I am hoping that Mike will decide not to run and throw his support to Ted.
However, I must warn you and others that bad mouthing Mike Huckabee (especially calling him “Huckster”) is bad form and divisive. Ted is an exceptional person that doesn’t require bad mouthing Mike to prove. Sing Ted’s praises (I will) and avoid denigrating Mike....it serves NO purpose but to entrench persons prone to vote for Mike into NOT voting when Ted gets the nomination. Senator Cruz was clear in his speech we need ALL religious conservatives to back him. We CANNOT afford defections because persons want to engage is dirt slinging.
