Your anti-Cruz rant takes facts completely out of context.

Heidi Cruz worked for Condoleeza Rice and as a result was appointed a ***temporary*** membership in CFR. Many fine people have transitioned in and out of CFR as members. Here’s what Senator Cruz has to say about CFR:

http://wingright.org/2012/05/28/ted-cruz-pit-of-vipers-and-the-council-on-foreign-relations-member-in-his-family/

He says CFR is a “Pit of Vipers”.

As for Heidi Cruz being a Board Member of GS, that is a lie.

She was a VP of Private Wealth Management and the title ‘VP’ signified her paygrade not her position of authority.

VP in a wealth or asset management firm is just a title that, for the most part, determines her salary. It doesn’t mean she’s one of the higher-up exec’s; far from it. She’s a mid-level employee.

When a person graduates from the Ivy League and goes to work in the Northeast financial centers, it is natural to interview with the top firms such as GS. Thousands of good people work for GS. It’s the mobsters at the very top that are of concern, not mid-level employees.

As for Ted Cruz being a proponent of H1B Visas, you also have taken that out of context. The context of his support for H1B has been set right many times here on FR.

There is nothing wrong with having quotas for H1B Visas for the right kind of scientific talent. And that is what Senator Cruz supports. He is not advocating opening the floodgates to technological worker bees. He is advocating attracting top talent of very high IQ persons that can benefit America in addition to what we already grow at home.

America has some of the world’s top talent on H1B Visas living among other Americas of top talent. They are professors at universities or talent recruited by scientific centers and companies. They need to renew their H1B Visas periodically and that is the reason for the quotas.

No different that recruiting for a professional sports team, recruiters will span the globe looking for unique talent and they will petition Congress for special status favors to retain such talent. Nothing wrong in that and in fact it benefits America.

Here is exactly what Cruz says regarding H1B visas:

which translates into an increase of 500%.

As far as how people in this forum or elsewhere spin this statement, I really couldn't care less. The only interpretation I'm interested in is his.
