When LBJ put the budget for food stamps under the Agriculture Dept, he was a genius! Made them bulletproof budget items, supported by Dems and Republican ag state pols.

This author clearly doesn't understand that socialism has always been fostered by the wealthy. The Communist Manifesto was bought and paid for by the Bund der Gerechten, comprised of some of the wealthiest bankers in Europe. It is called "the beautiful lie" for a reason.

Socialized roads increase trade, which concentrates capital as lowering the cost of transportation increases the attractiveness of comparative advantage. Socialized ports do the same. So does socialized control of air transportation.

All of these media were sold on the idea of managing risk. What the hell happened to insurance companies? Corrupt liability laws, and there's your real problem: the systematic corruption of American law by stare decisis, which suppresses Natural Law competition among jurisdictions.
