According to a recently released internal memo, Starbucks baristas will no longer write "Race Together" on customers' cups starting Sunday.
Starbucks spokesman Jim Olson says the campaign to create discussion on diversity and racial inequality will continue without the handwritten messages, which are phasing out as originally planned.

Has anyone here actually gotten a cup with “race together “ written on it?
He's a bloomin' genius.
They sell a Corolla at a Lexus price, year after year after year.
Koch Bros. Office Supply in Des Moines gets death threats anyway.
(Not remotely related).
Oregon still predominately white.
To this day, don’t think they have a large black population
No they don’t ... I buy their regular coffee there and it matches closely with QuikTrip (where I get regular coffee too). And if you get one of the Starbucks cups (which I did for $1.00) you get a discount on all your future coffee purchases using that cup.
If you “buy a Lexus” though, you’re going to pay for a Lexus. I buy a Corolla at Starbucks, and pay for a Corolla ... LOL ...
dennis miller on the oriely show called it “unCreamed”
I say screw starbuck and all the lib crap they push. I’ve never been to on and never will go to one.
Good for you.
You do your thing, I’ll do mine and it won’t be giving them any of my money.
I’ll spread my conservative thought elsewhere.
Yep, and that’s a carry over from those days when Blacks were not allowed in the state by law!
No lib crap on three cups from two Starbucks yesterday here in SoCal.
I was in a mood to talk Ebonics.
Never been there but I googled “starbucks burned crap” & got all kinds of sites with pithy opinions about the taste of Starbucks coffee when taken plain.
Or as we say in the South, “black & barefoot”.
;^)
that the epitome of being racist ..;)...really Starbucks is were strong black coffee become a sweet white sellout..and the man makes money from it
I commend you for doing that. Have you noticed that some people are waking up and seeing things more clearly?
“I bet they got feedback like, “Why did you write that crap on my cup? Give me another one.””
My wife told me the other day that there was a huge line at a Peet’s Coffee near our home that has a Starbuck’s less than a block away. The woman behind her who was in a hurry, said that she was a Starbuck’s customer but wouldn’t go there with this nonsense going on. My bet is that Starbuck’s stopped this “exercise” when they started loosing substantial business. I don’t go there because their coffee is piss. Now I have another reason not to be their customer. At the end of the day Shultz’ wallet is more important to him than his politics.

Long article but very interesting..
My parents (Hispanic) drove through Oregon in the mid 1960’s. My mom still talks about it, said a diner they stopped in ignored them until it became apparent they had no intentions of leaving. They thought the service just sucked but looking back they believe it was because of them being Hispanic. Said they got the same uncomfortable stares at other places during their trip.
My dad ending up buying land up there, that was purpose of their trip, but can’t build on it because it’s considered swampland or something like that!
That’s like LA-A (Ladasha) “the dash don’t be silent” Or so says her mother.
I was in a mood to talk Ebonics.
LOL
That’s not a bad idea. Next time you go in, place your order in Ebonics/Jive.
Then accuse them of not being “sensitive” and “too White” when they can’t understand.
Well ... in Tulsa, Oklahoma both Evangelical Christians and Conservatives are both found easily in Starbucks. Tulsa is a conservative place, as is all of Oklahoma. I’m not converting anyone, as they are already there ... :-) ...
Ahh live a little and get some Starbucks some time. Many people think their house coffee is on the bitter side. I tend to agree with them. The espresso though is fantastic. Even the Italians think Starbucks has good espresso.
