Germans killed hundreds of people in reprisal for the killing/murder of one of their own. Some on this thread seem to be proposing the same.
I have no problem with killing our enemies who are trying to kill us. I object to the killing of random Arabs or Muslims in reprisal for the killing of American soldiers or even their families.
The post I originally responded to approvingly cited a Kipling poem in which 100 Burmese people were killed because a white man had been shot from ambush.
