Black Student Union spokesman Cori McGowens: “Black students on campus have a feeling of isolation, marginalization. We’re at a crisis on campus.”

Sure. Isolation from who? White people?

What better way to overcome marginalization from white people than to accuse whites of systemic racism in one breath and in the next lionize a stone cold cop killer for no better reason than the fact that she is black. This plan is SURE to work! LOL!

Unfortunately the university can't just say "we don't name buildings after people who are still alive" since they have done so in the past. Giauque Hall was named for Nobel Laureate William Giauque (1895-1982) while he was still alive.

They want to honor a cop killer with no connection to California. Ironically they could probably get away with naming a building after Nat Turner (who did not kill any cops but massacred a number of white people including children). Naming a building after Nelson Mandela wouldn't even be controversial. But I think they want to be "in your face" about their demand.

Isolation from who?

They are isolated because they isolate themselves by forming these stupid “black” whatever groups. Perhaps if they intermingled with others and act in a civil and respectable manner there would be far less problems.
